Download the Report: Key findings from our LP End-of-life Fund Survey
Recent industry discussions have focused heavily on fundraising, liquidity and the evolution of private markets. Yet one challenge continues to grow quietly in the background: the management of end-of-life (EOL) private equity funds.
Findings from our recent survey of institutional investors suggest that EOL fund exposure is no longer a niche issue. For most limited partners, it is an active portfolio management reality.
The results highlight several important themes, including the prevalence of EOL fund exposure, the challenges LPs face in managing these situations, and evolving attitudes towards collaboration, secondary sales, and specialist support.
We are pleased to share a summary of the findings, which you can access here: Download the report
Among the key insights:
- 92% of respondents reported active or recent exposure to EOL funds
- 68% are currently managing EOL fund situations
- 96% are open to collaborating with other LPs to address EOL challenges
- Interest in specialist solutions increases significantly when fees are aligned to outcomes
